Virtual private servers (VPS) can be powered by different technologies such as KVM or OpenVZ. KVM VPS uses x86 processors and allocates resources exclusively to one user. This means that users cannot share resources with others. KVM is more flexible as it supports Linux, Windows, and Custom OS options.
On the other hand, OpenVZ is a container-based virtualization technology that allows users to share resources with others on the host node. It is considered an affordable option for Linux VPS.
Low-cost Linux VPS hosting uses high-end infrastructure to provide increased redundancy, advanced scalability power, and an easy-to-use platform. This is achieved by virtualizing servers and splitting the resources amongst the users on that server.
It’s worth noting that OpenVZ is only used for Linux-based operating systems.
